10. They live in exotic places like Ontario.
9. They arrive with gifts like chocolate in the shape of fireman's gear.
8. They take you toy shopping for one toy and you end up with three. Just because.
7. They will play trains, planes and automobiles for hours on end.
6. They will play hockey and soccer for hours, and let you score not a few goals on them.
5. They will squish onto the cuddle chair for one more nighttime story.
4. They know the answer to any question you ask.
3. They will make up stories to tell you when you're tired.
2. Their bedtime tickles last 20 minutes longer than mommy's tickles do.
1. They are unconditional love and attention, all that's right with the world.

6 Heard through the grapevine:
Wait... you're in Ontario?!?
For how long? Where exactly?
They all have very excellent taste in children's literature, too! We LOVE the pigeon books her. I do a very dramatic reading that makes my youngest son burst with laughter. Totally love them!
SciFi Dad -- Sorry to burst your bubble. They came here to BC.
But... I know you can't wait... we'll be in Waterloo in August, last week or so.
FADKOG -- Love that series. My parents pick some pretty awesome kids' books. I'm sort of hit or miss! Sometimes I get suckered in by the illustrations.
The exotic Ontario. Funnily enough people down here in the south seem to think that all of Canada is exotic. Funny that I am comparing grown (somewhat) educated people to children in the field of geography!
Thank goodness for grandparents! What would we do without them?
Lovely photograph; I can feel the love.
Hey - we're exotic! Well, we do have African Lion Safari - though I suppose that's *technically* closer to Cambridge.
But, but... we do have Physicists! They're pretty exotic. They're also highly protected - we got kicked off the PI Institute's property bordering the park whilst having wedding photos taken :p
